ARROWHEAD WIND ENERGY, LLC was born from ARROWHEAD RESOURCES, INC, a well-established oil and gas royalty purchaser located in Sayre, Oklahoma. A family-owned company, perhaps our greatest strength is that we are local. We combine industry-wide relationships and world-class expertise with a commitment to our region. We have worked with communities throughout Western Oklahoma to ensure that landowners are educated about the wind development process and provided with transparent and fair offers that they can understand. As local residents who had been approached ourselves, we at Arrowhead Wind Energy understand local issues.
BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE OF WESTERN OKLAHOMA Arrowhead Wind Energy has teamed up with Renewable Energy Systems Americas (RES) to provide the landowners of Western Oklahoma with a fully integrated approach to the development of wind projects. The global reach and longtime experience of RES in constructing and developing wind projects throughout the world is combined with Arrowhead’s local sensibility and understanding of Western Oklahoma landowner concerns to create a partner you can trust. Through Arrowhead’s close interactions with industry leaders over the years, we have been fortunate to develop long-standing relationships with reputable players in the oil, gas and renewable energy industries. Arrowhead Wind Energy is a collaboration that combines trusted local know-how with the development and financing expertise gained through funding the development of thousands of megawatts of wind projects currently in early stage development, construction and operation all across the country.
SOMETHING ELEGANT ON THE SKYLINE…When some people think wind power, they conjure images of the quirky, rustic windmills of bygone eras. Indeed, wind power is a concept centuries old, beginning with the use of sails on watercraft. The first windmills are traceable to Persia in 500 – 900 A.D. Fast-forward to today’s wind turbines — these sleek units are as sophisticated as they come, incorporating a focus on safety not enjoyed by the windmills of yore.
Today’s turbines are run by computer systems that shut the units off when winds exceed a certain speed or a turbine is accumulating ice. Integral to the engineering of turbines are lightning strike features, which allow energy from a bolt to disperse in a controlled fashion. Modern wind turbines also incorporate a focus on aesthetics: a streamlined addition to the landscape, they can be strategically positioned on your property to avoid undesirable cast shadows. The image of a horizon line trimmed with these elegant machines has become emblematic of a progressive mindset, signalling the dawn of an era of environmental responsibility and increased energy independence for our nation.

FIVE WAYS WIND TURBINES ARE GOOD GUESTS
1) Wind farms do not consume water or other resources.
2) Turbines disturb very little of the land they occupy, which means a wind farm site can also support crops and grazing livestock.
3) New wind turbines have been engineered for enhanced avian safety, with blades rotating slowly enough that birds can avoid them.
4) Wind power production yields no hazardous emissions.
5) A retired wind site can be restored to its original condition.
DOES YOUR LAND HAVE WIND ENERGY VALUE? Wind is the fastest growing resource worldwide. If your land has the right ingredients for a wind farm, we think you should know — and obtain the best deal possible! By taking the proper steps now, you can ensure that this green, renewable resource generates long-term financial benefits for you and your family. Let Arrowhead help; our knowledgeable wind energy team is ready to evaluate your land’s potential.
FIVE INGREDIENTS FOR A GREAT WIND SITE
1) Land is largely free of buildings and trees, with adequate acreage available for each turbine.
2) Wind speeds are consistently over 15 MPH (ideal speed is 25–35 MPH).
3) Site is in close proximity to high-voltage transmission lines that can handle the additional power generated by turbines.
4) Land is free of conflicts with environmentally sensitive species and habitats.
5) Soil type/terrain and accessibility are appropriate for efficient construction.
